Planning a walk requires a few decisions to be made:-
The walk provides for the local
residents and visitors who wish to take a leisurely short stroll in the
attractive countryside surrounding Northampton. It is envisaged that many
walking clubs and organisations will take up the challenge of the full
50-mile circular route. The walk leaflet, available from Millets
shops or many Northamptonshire outlets, or these outline maps provide
sufficient information to follow sections of the way-marked route with
ease, but the purchase of a ordnance survey map completes the picture and
gives a better understanding of the villages, features and depth of

The Greyfriars Bus Station is situated in the

During the summer months Northamptonshire County
Council provides a Saunterbus service to many of the places of interest
around Northampton and points on the 'Northamptonshire round' walk
route. The Saunterbus picks up and sets down passengers at any
recognised bus stop on the route and anywhere safe in rural areas. Time table information
